Art-Oasis Gallery

If you like the prints in the Art-Oasis webshop, you may like to visit the gallery and studio to see originals. As well as Jenny's work, other carefully chosen artists exhibit here so there is always an interestingly eclectic mix to enjoy.

We're situated about ten miles north of Hay on Wye, the delightful book town, where there are zillions of books, obviously, and also all kinds of other small shops with character. It's a great place to buy gifts, clothes, art, country stuff, antiques and super shoes.

If you've a long journey to get here, we suggest you stay for a few days. There are some very welcoming b&,bs in and near Rhulen, most offering home cooked suppers too, and a super new barn conversion if there are several of you and you'd rather self-cater.

Art-Oasis is situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by the open Radnorshire hills. For walkers they're paradise - you can roam along the tracks through the heather for miles and miles, with the most amazing views, often without seeing another soul. Or, in bad weather, ramble instead along the narrow country lanes to neighbouring hamlets and valleys. If you like old churches, you are spoilt for choice here - many are Norman with Celtic origins. Rhulen's St David's is our utmost favourite (but of course we're prejudiced): tiny and utterly peaceful it's truly a spiritual oasis. The gallery is only a short stroll from the church so make sure to visit both.

While you're welcome to visit the gallery spontaneously, if you're coming a long way it's advisable to ring first to check we'll be open or to arrange another time.
